Pratik studied at the University of Delhi, where he got introduced to world cinema for the first time. That is when he decided to pursue filmmaking as his career. He directed short films and assisted in documentaries to learn the craft. After working for a few years as a freelancer, he finally discovered his passion for cinematography and decided to join Screen Academy Scotland for a Master's in Film.

He draws inspiration from filmmakers like Jim Jarmusch, Satyajit Ray, Krzysztof Kielowski, and many others. He truly believes that the miraculous imagery of this art form has the potential to bring about a change in society. Pratik is currently based in Bangalore, on his quest to create something that is beautiful and magical.
